Biography
Andrew James Hall is a playwright, composer, and lyricist. Currently developing a new musical with David Nando Rodgers, THE STARVING ARTIST. Recent works include: SMALL TALK, THE ZOMBIES, FAUX SNOW (Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Advanced Playwriting Program; Cabrini Repertory Theater, The Thespis Theater Festival), 'TIL LOVE DO US PART (Under St. Marks Theater, FRIGID NYC Festival). Select short plays include: ARIA OF THE OCEAN, AMBROSIA, THE PARK BENCH, and SLAVES OF A HOUSEHOLD DEATH CAR. He received his B.A. in Theatre from the New School University in New York, NY and continued studying playwriting at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT through NTI's Theatermakers and their Advanced Playwriting Intensive. He began an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing at NYU as a member of Cycle 25. He has been trained in various theatrical environments by Marcus Gardley, Kia Corthron, Christopher Shinn, Donna DiNovelli, Adam Gwon, Michael John LaChiusa, and more.
